4, 5, and 6 (1997) explore the idea of the space and shape of writing. What appears as text is an invented rhythm of symbols. 7 and 8 ( 2001 ) work with the idea of writing inspired by obsession. The words are from the erotic poem, Blanco, by Octavio Paz. 9, 10 and 11 present writing as a visual verbal code. The viewer is invited to solve the mystery. 12, 13, , 14 and 15, ( 2004 ) use of color and contrast in the development of new letterforms as a means to capture expressions of delight. 16, 17, and 18 are works concerned with the relationship between writing and image, and writing as image.
